About us

New Galloway in in the heart of south-west Scotland. New Galloway Community Enterprise Ltd (NGCE) is a community benefit company currently owned by more than 260 shareholders. NGCE was set up to trade for the benefit of the community.

The enterprise consists of:

• A licensed general store
• Two self-catering flats
• A community laundry facility

NGCE aims to:

• Create employment, full-time, part-time and freelance opportunities
• Generate income for local suppliers and trades people

The Community Shop aims to provide good value, high-quality food, with a strong emphasis on community support and local food.

A Volunteer Management Board navigate NGCE. Daily Operations are run by a strong staff team.
